Sweet Bread Tikki recipe - How to make Sweet Bread Tikki

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving


For For Stuffing
1/4 cup finely chopped dried figs (anjeer)
1/4cup finely chopped almonds (badam)
1/4cup finely chopped cashewnut (kaju)
1 tsp finely chopped raisins (kismis)
2 tbsp coconut powder
2 tbsp milk powder
1/2 tbsp cardamum powder
1/2cup crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
sugar to taste

Other Ingredients
10 bread slices
1/2 cup milk for soaking bread slices
oil for frying

    For For stuffing
  1. Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a frying pan.
  2. Add all the ingredients, except cheese and milk powder and saute for 10 seconds.
  3. Add cheese and milk powder and again saute the mixture for 1/2 a minute.
  4. Remove from the flame and keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Remove sides of bread slices with the help of knife.
  2. Dip each bread slice in milk, take it out then press between the two palms to drain excess of milk.
  3. Now put stuffing at the center of each slice.
  4. Fold the sides of the bread and press to give it the shape of a tikki.
  5. Deep fry the tikkies in oil until golden. Tikkies are ready to be packed in tiffins.
