250 gms sugar
300 ml water
4 slices of bread (cut the edges)
3 cardamoms (elaichi)
a pinch of saffron (kesar) strands
oil for frying
chopped mixed nuts

  1. Add sugar to the water and cook to make a chashni.
  2. Add cardamom and kesar.
  3. Cut the bread slices in any desireble shape and deep fry in oil.
  4. When golden brown take them out and dip it into the chashni once and arrange it on the serving dish.
  5. Garnish with dryfruits or silver foil .serve hot.
