Strawberry Pie with Whipped Cream recipe - How to make Strawberry Pie with Whipped Cream

1 (9 inch) pie crust , baked
1 quart fresh strawberry
1 cup white sugar
3 tbsp cornflour
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  1. Arrange half of strawberries on the baked pastry shell. Mash remaining strawberries and combine with sugar in a medium saucepan.
  2. Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Gradually stir cornstarch mixture into boiling strawberry mixture.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer the mixture until thickened, for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour mixture over strawberries in the pastry shell. Chill for several hours before serving.
  6. In a small bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form.
  7. Serve each slice of pie with a dollop of whipped cream.
