Here is a sweet strawberry cannelloni which can be served as a desert. An attempt is made to make it low caloie.

Strawberry Cannelloni recipe - How to make Strawberry Cannelloni

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings


For The Cannelloni
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp drinking chocolate
a pinch salt
1 tsp baking powder

For The Filling
1/4 cup finely chopped strawberries
1/2 cup mashed paneer (cottage cheese)
2 tbsp blanched and chopped pistachios

To Garnish
finely chopped strawberries
pistachio powder
For the cannelloni

    For the cannelloni
  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
  2. Combine all the ingredients and knead a semi soft dough.
  3. Roll thin 4" circles and wrap it around greased hollow cylindrical cannelloni mould.
  4. Seal well using water and bake it in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or until brown and crisp.
  5. Remove from the oven, cool for a while and then unmould carefully.

For the filling

  1. Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  2. Take the above hollow rolls and fill it with this mixture.
  3. Dip the hollow ends of the roll in sweetened strawberry and cover it with crushed pista powder.
  4. Cover the open ends with fresh strawberries.
  5. Serve fresh.
