Strawberry Basoondi recipe - How to make Strawberry Basoondi

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

7 1/2 cups milk
10 chopped strawberries
10 mashed strawberries
10 almonds (badam)
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp chironji nuts
  1. Blanch almonds in half a cup of warm water. Peel and cut into slivers.
  2. Heat milk in a thick-bottomed pan.
  3. When it comes to a boil, lower heat and boil till it reduces to half the original quantity.
  4. Add sugar, chironji, slivered almonds and mix.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool on a bed of ice.
  6. When cool, add strawberry puree and mix well.
  7. Add chopped strawberries and serve.
