  1. Heat the butter and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When they crackle, and the onions and garlic and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the carrots and spinach and saute for another minute.
  4. Add the rice, seasoning cube, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup of water and mix well.
  5. Cook on a slow flame for 5 to 7 minutes till the moisture evaporates.
  6. Serve hot.
