Serve hot with any kind of sauce/chutney

we lived in nigeria and there corn was one of the staple foods. lentils was sometimes had to find. being south indian we craved for idli like dishes, so this is a yummy recipe my mother created and we all loved it.

2 cups corn kernels (makai ke dane) ( if frozen thaw and take out any extra water)
2 green chillies
6 dry red chillies
6 springs of coriander (dhania) leaves
1 tsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 tsp fruit salt
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil to spread in the vessel that is going to be used for cooking

  1. Grind without water the corn, red and green chillies, coriander leaves and to a coarse paste.
  2. To the corn paste add the salt, rice flour and mix very well.
  3. Spread oild on teh insides of a flat microwavable vessel.
  4. Add the eno salt to the batter, give a vigiours mix and pour into the vessel.
  5. Now place in a microwave and cook closed for 10mins.
  6. After the ten mins, take out and check if the center part is also cooked.
  7. The time tends to vary between microwaves.
