Serve with dosa and idly.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the urad dal and red chilies and saute for a minute.
- Add the onions and salt and saute till the onions turn golden brown.
- Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
- Add the tamarind , brown sugar and blend in a mixer into a smooth paste.
