Soya Kadhi, kids love this nutritious protein rich kadhi with soya nuggets. If you wish you can replace the soya nuggets with besan pakori or boiled mixed vegetables.

Soya Kadhi recipe - How to make Soya Kadhi

  1. Combine the curd and besan in a deep bowl and blend with a hand blender.
  2. Drain the boiled soya chunks and squeeze out the water, then wash them with water and again squeeze out the water.
  3. Heat ghee in a deep pan and saute the onions till they turn pink in colour.
  4. Add the garlic, ginger and green chillies, mix well. Then add the fenugreek seeds and let them crackle.
  5. Once the seeds crackle pour the curd-besan mixture in the pan while stirring continuously.
  6. Add turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin seeds powder and salt.
  7. Let the kadhi come to a boil. Add the soya chunks, mix well and cook on a low flame for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Pour the kadhi in a deep serving dish.
  9. For the tempering heat ghee in a small pan, add cumin seeds, when they crackle add red chilli powder and immediately pour over the kadhi.
  10. Serve hot with rice or chapattis.

This receipe much more healthy and tasty. In tadka if use mustard seed for tempering also tasty. Soya and curd both healthy also diabetic friendly dish. Thanks for posting this receipe.

But when to add soya chunks in curry? whats this? not mentioned in recipe?

Tarla Dalal    Sorry for the error. It is a member contributed recipe. You can add the soya chunks at the 8th point when the kadhi starts boiling. After adding the chuncks you can continue cooking it.
