Tasty and healthy Subzi made with lots of green vegetables filled ith iron and mixed with garlic, chillies and mustard seeds. Serve with rice or rotis.

Soppina Palya recipe - How to make Soppina Palya

4 bunches of spinach (palak)
4 red chillies
3 to 4 cloves of garlic (lehsun)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
a few mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
2 to 3 tsp oil
powdered peanuts for garnishing (roast peanuts till golden brown and powdered)
salt to taste

  1. Clean, wash, and chop/cut the green leafy vegetable.
  2. Take oil in pan.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, garlic flakes, red chillies, and curry leaves.
  4. Now add the chopped/cut green leafy vegetable. allow it to cook for few minutes and when it leaves little water, add salt.
  5. Close the lid and cook it till the water drains.
  6. Allow the dish to cool a bit and then garnish it with groundnut powder.
  7. Soppina palya is read to serve.
