This is a quick and simple recipe for a baby who is being introduced new food. Sooji is light and easy to digest. Remember, consistency of the kheer needs to be thick and smooth so that a baby can swallow it easily.

Sooji ki Kheer recipe - How to make Sooji ki Kheer

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 0.75 cup

semolina (rava)
whole milk
3/4 tsp ghee
1 tsp raisins (kismis)
1/2 tsp grated pistachios
4 tsp sugar
  1. Melt ghee in a small kadhai or a pan.
  2. Add sooji and roast till it becomes brown (not too dark, a little more than light brown)
  3. Add milk, sugar and raisins.
  4. Let the milk boil on low flame, while stirring occasionally, till it reduces to more than half.
  5. Garnish with grated pistachio.
  6. Let is cool before feeding your kid.
