Smoked Pizza recipe - How to make Smoked Pizza

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 to 5 servings

Ingredients

For Pizza Base
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp ghee
salt to taste
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp curds (dahi)
warm milk to knead the flour

For Pizza Spread
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped spinach (palak)
2 tsp olive oil
1 bayleaf (tejpatta)
1 cinnamon stick
1 clove
1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 cup chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
4 to 6 cheese cubes
charcoal
2 tsp ghee
Method
for pizza base

  1. Combine all the ingredients and knead soft dough.
  2. cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Roll 5" 4 mm roti and fork it lightly. Keep aside.

For pizza spread.

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add the whole spices.
  2. Add all other ingredients and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove whole spices and keep aside.

To assemble

  1. Heat tava and put some oil.
  2. Keep pizza base on it roast on one side and turn over.
  3. Spread above pizza sauce on it.
  4. Grate cheese all over on top.
  5. Arrange capsicum and paneer pieces on it.
  6. Dot it with butter on top.
  7. Keep piping hot coal in center and add 1/2 tsp ghee on it. It will smoke.
  8. Cover the pan and keep it for a minute.
  9. The cheese will also melt and the entire pizza will get the flavor and aroma from smoking coal.
  10. Serve it piping hot with sweet lime juice.
