This kari can be eaten with plain boiled rice. the kari should neither be too thick or thin.

Method

  1. Wash dal throughly.
  2. Put into the pressure cooker along with cut tomatoes.
  3. Give 4-5 whistles.
  4. Mash and strain.
  5. Add water.
  6. In a vessel,put4tbsp oil ,heat and add rai methi, heeng , green chillies , ginger and curry patta.
  7. When it stops spluttering add, haldi and red chilli powder.
  8. Now add the prepared dal and tomato liquid .
  9. Add sugar, cocum amd all the vegetabes after washing them.
  10. Add salt and gur.
  11. Bring to boil for 15-20 minutes.
  12. Put off the gas ,now add washed and and cut coriander leaves

Sounds extremely good, but at what stage do you add the jowar? I cam to this page looking for ways to use jowar...do reply soon as my jowar is soaking and waiting to be cooked :)
