2 eggs
2 cups self raising flour
2 sticks of butter
2 cups milk
4 tbsp sugar
2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
2 pinches of saffron (kesar) strands
2 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder for garnish (optional)

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a big bowl, except for the saffron which has to be dissolved in a little of water then added.
  2. Mix until smooth.
  3. Use a soup spoon to put the mix in the pan on medium heat.
  4. Allow to cook a little then turn on the other side until its golden brown.
  5. Remove and leave to cool. repeat the same for the remaining mix.
