Saffron Ice Tea recipe - How to make Saffron Ice Tea

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 cups

3 tsp tea leaves
4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp saffron (kesar) strands strands
1/8 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
ice cubes
almond (badam) slivers for garnishing
  1. In a vessel, boil 300 ml water till bubbles formed.
  2. Add the tea leaves, sugar, saffron strands, cardamom powder to it and remove from the flame and cover and keep aside for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Strain and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. To serve, put ice cubes in a glass, pour the mixture and garnish with almond slivers.
  5. Serve chilled.
