Sabudana Soup recipe - How to make Sabudana Soup

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     1Makes 1 serving

Ingredients
1 cup sago (sabudana) , soaked over night
1/2 cup finely chopped spinach (palak)
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp finely chopped basil
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 bay leaf
a pinch of nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste

For The Garnish
2 tbsp grated carrot
2 tbsp roasted and crushed peanuts
Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the cumin seeds and bay leaf
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the tomatoes, spinach and sago, mix well and saute for 3 minutes.
  3. Add enough water, mix well and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Add the salt, nutmeg powder and sugar and mix well.
  5. Add the basil and mix well.
  6. Serve hot garnished with carrots and peanuts.
