Sabudana Laddoo recipe - How to make Sabudana Laddoo

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 1 serving

1 cup sago (sabudana)
1/4 cup crumbled khoya/mawa
1/2 cup desiccated unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 to 4 tbsp ghee
1 to 2 tbsp milk
1/3 cup chopped mixed nuts (pistachios and almonds)
  1. Blend the sabudana in a mixer to a fine powder.
  2. Heat ghee in a kadai.
  3. Add powdered sabudana and roast it on medium low flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add the crumbled khoya and keep stirring till light brown in colour.
  5. Take it off the flame and mix in desiccated coconut.
  6. Mix it well.Add sugar, cardamom powder, nuts and mix until well blended.
  7. Ladoo mixture will be very dry at this point, add 1 tablespoon milk and mix.
  8. It will start coming together. Take some mixture and shape it like a small ball.
  9. Repeat it with rest of the mixture.
  10. Sabudana ladoos are ready.
  11. You can choose to roll them in dry desiccated coconut or enjoy as it is.
  12. Store them in airtight container and they are good for 2-3 weeks.
