When your precious little one is ready to experiment with foods other than the mother’s milk which it is so familiar with, consider feeding it with this nourishing and soothing Rice Water.

It is a wonderful food for 6 to 7 months old infants, as it tones up their digestive system to new foods. Once you strain the water, you can cook the rice further in whatever way you wish, to make delicious recipe for the adults at home!

1/4 cup rice (chawal) , washed and drained
  1. Boil 2½ cups of water in a deep non-stick pan, add the rice and mix well. Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  2. Strain it using a strainer and retain the rice water.
  3. Serve lukewarm.

most mothers are advised by mums and grand mums to begin with this water as a first weaning food. true its easily digestible and has consistency like mothers milk... do not miss out on giving this recipe to you baby when begin weaning.
