When your precious little one is ready to experiment with foods other than the mother’s milk which it is so familiar with, consider feeding it with this nourishing and soothing Rice Water.
It is a wonderful food for 6 to 7 months old infants, as it tones up their digestive system to new foods. Once you strain the water, you can cook the rice further in whatever way you wish, to make delicious recipe for the adults at home!
- Boil 2½ cups of water in a deep non-stick pan, add the rice and mix well. Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Strain it using a strainer and retain the rice water.
- Serve lukewarm.
- This light food is the liquid by-product of cooking rice. It contains carbohydrates and few water soluble nutrients, which nourish and energise the baby.
