This raita can be consumed with stuff parathas, plain parathas or as it is as light meal with baked chips. It nourishes us with calcium, carbohydrates and fiber. It is simple and complete light food.

Rice Raita recipe - How to make Rice Raita

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 5 to 6 servings

1 cup cooked rice
2 cups beaten curds (dahi)
1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions
1/4 cup chopped canned pineapple
salt to taste
2 tsp sugar

For The Garnish
2 tsp roasted and powdered cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
  1. Combine the curds, rice and all other ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Serve fresh or refrigerate it for an hour and then serve chilled garnished with cumin seeds powder and pepper powder.
