A creamy sweet variation to the typical khoya based gulab jamuns, Rice gulab jamuns offer a great variation. The cooked and mashed rice balls are deep fried and then simmered in sugar syrup to get the unique rice gulab jamuns.

left over rice(whatever the quantity)
cardamom (elaichi) seeds
sugar (depending on rice quantity )
vanaspati or oil to fry

  1. Add cardamom seeds to rice and grind the rice in mixie or kharal
  2. Shape like gulab jamuns and deep fry
  3. Make i thread consistancy syrup from sugar
  4. Soak rice jamuns & serve.
