In Maharashtra raw mango kadhi is also known as "Kairiche Saar". This is generally served with steam rice.

Raw Mango Kadhi recipe - How to make Raw Mango Kadhi

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 2 to 3 serving


For Kadhi
1 green raw mango
2 cups coconut milk
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1 tbsp chopped corriander
salt to taste

For Tempering
2 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
5-6 curry leaves (kadi patta)
  1. Pressure cook green mango.Remove the peel and separate pulp from it
  2. Make fine paste of the pulp
  3. Then add salt, sugar, green chilly paste and corriander to the pulp
  4. Finally add coconut milk and stir

For Tempering

    For Tempering
  1. Heat ghee in a pan
  2. Add cumin seeds,asafoetida and curry leaves
  3. Pour the tempering over the kadhi
  4. Serve with steam rice
