Raw (vegetable) banana powder is a vegetable dish with cooked raw bananas or plantains. The bananas are cooked with ginger , chillies and lime juice and the curry is tempered with curry leaves, mustard seeds and a dash of chilli paste and tamarind pulp.

Ingredients

4 raw bananas
2 tsp lemon juice or according to your taste
salt to taste
3 tbsp oil
1 pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
4 to 5 green chillies
1 " piece of ginger (adrak)
1 spring of curry leaves (kadi patta)
mustard seeds ( rai / sarson) , cumin seeds (jeera) , urad dal (split black lentils) , chana dal, red chillies (broken)
Method

  1. Boil water&cook plantain with peel until they become softer.
  2. Remove peel&crush them.
  3. Add curry leaves&lemon juice to it.grind greenchillie,ginger coarsely
  4. Take another thick bottomed mowl,heat the oil for tempering .
  5. Use ingredients for tempering,
  6. After done,add plantain mixture&chilli paste,let it cook for 3 to 4 min .on low flame until curry smells good.
  7. Stir occasionally.
