Ingredients

1/4 cup semolina (rava)
1/4 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated or powdered jaggery (gur)
2 pods cardamom (elaichi)
5 cashewnuts (kaju)
2 tbsp ghee
Method


  1. Fry the ravai in ghee and stirring continuously, add 1/2 cup water.
  2. Add the dhal to this and let it cook along with the ravai.
  3. Add the jaggery and bring to a boil (until the jaggery smell diminishes).
  4. Add the powdered cardamom and milk.
  5. Garnish with the cashews fried in ghee.
