Ingredients

1 tumbler semolina (rava)
1 tumbler sugar
2 1/2 tumblers water
yellow colour
1 cup ghee
cashewnuts (kaju) for garnishing
Method

  1. Fry rava in 1 tsp of ghee till slightly brown.
  2. Heat water.
  3. Add boiling water to rava and stir for about 2 minutes.
  4. Mix a pinch if kesari yellow in water and add it to the above mixture.
  5. Add sugar and keep stirring and add the ghee little by little until the mixture doesn''t stick to the sides of the pan.
  6. Roast the cashewnuts and mix it with the above mixture and kesari is ready to serve.
