The Indian sweet dish ,rasmalai is a simple and quick recipe of preparing Bengali sweet delicacy rasmalai at home.The chenna based sweet balls are simmered in a creamy and sweetened milk mixture and served cold as dessert after meals.

1 cup milk powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp ghee
3/4 cup sugar
1 ltr milk
1 egg
a few saffron (kesar) strands
1/2 cup pistachios

  1. In a pan boil milk with sugar and saffron strands.
  2. Make a soft dough with milkpowder, ghee, baking powder and lightly beaten egg.
  3. Make small balls and flatten them little and add to the boiling milk.
  4. Turn over after 5 minutes and again after 5 minutes.
  5. Let cook for 2 more minutes and then turn off the gas.
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Add finely chopped pista.
  8. Serve chilled! yummy rasmalai is ready!!
