Quick and Tasty Bread Idli recipe - How to make Quick and Tasty Bread Idli

For Tikkis
4 boiled potatoes
2 onions , finely chopped
2 green chillies , finely chopped
salt to taste
1/2 tsp grated ginger (adrak)

For The Bread Idli
1 cup curds (dahi)
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
5 to 6 curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt to taste
4 bread slices , cut into roundels

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mash well.
  2. Make small round flat tikkis and cook on a non-stick tava till golden brown from both the sides.
  3. Keep aside.

For the idli

    For the idli
  1. Heat the oil in a small pan and add the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  2. ADd this tempering to the curds and mix well.
  3. Place a bread round on a tikki and apply one spoon of dahi mixture on bread and cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove the cover and serve hot.
