Ingredients

1 cup long grained rice (basmati)
1 cup grated coconut
onion--1,potatoes-2,peas-1/2cup
cloves (laung / lavang) - 4 for grinding and 7 for cooking
cinnamon (dalchini) - 1 for grinding and 2 for cooking
small piece ginger (adrak)
2 garlic (lehsun)
6 green chillies




Method

  1. Cut the potatoes and tomatoes and keep aside.
  2. Grind half onion coriander leaves,chillies,ginger,garlic,cloves,cinnamon,coconut-in a mixer.
  3. Heat ghee in a cooker,add 7 cloves,2 cinnamon stick,onion and turmeric powder.
  4. Let the onion be golden brown,add tomatoes,potatoes and peas,grinded masala,then basmati rice {which is soaked for half an hour }.add water ,double the quantity of rice ,add enough salt .close the cooker and wait for two whistles.
  5. Decorate with coriander leaves tomato slices,half cut lemons.
  6. You can add some grated carrots also.
