1 onion , finely chopped
2 potatoes boiled and mashed
2 carrot , finely chopped
1/2 cup green peas
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)
1 pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp green chillies , finely chopped or paste
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) (adrak)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) leaves
salt to taste
  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan
  2. Add the mustard and urad dal.
  3. When they crackle add all the other ingredients along with little water and cook on a medium flame till all the ingredients are mixed well.
  4. Toast the bread slices.
  5. Apply butter on them and put the filling on half the bread slices and cover the sandwich with another piece of bread.
  6. Serve immediately.
