Potato Delight recipe - How to make Potato Delight

3 potatoes , boiled and mashed
2 tbsp oil
3 onions , chopped lengthwise
2 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/3 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
3/4 tsp chilli powder
20 slices of bread
salt to taste
tomato ketchup as required
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle,a dd the onions and ginger and saute till onions turn translucent.
  3. Add a little water, turmeric and chill powder and salt and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the potatoes, mix well and remove from the flame.
  5. Place the bread slices on a dry surface and apply some ketchup on each bread slice.
  6. Apply some potato mixture and spread evenly.
  7. Cover with another slice and cook in a sandwich maker till crisp.
  8. Serve hot.
