Poha Custard recipe - How to make Poha Custard

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 to 6 servings

1/2 cup beaten rice (poha) , washed
1/2 tsp ghee
1/4 cup grated carrot
400 ml milk
1 tbsp cornflour dissolved in 1/2 cup water
4 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup chopped bananas
1/2 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
  1. Heat the ghee in a deep pan, add the carrots, milk, sugar and beaten rice, mix well and bring to boil.
  2. Add the corn flour mixture, while stirring continuously, making sure the mixture does not becomes too thick.
  3. Add the bananas and remaining ingredients and mix well.
  4. Serve immediately garnished with pistachios.
