It is difficult to beat the taste of a freshly baked pizza crust which gets spread with a fresh tomato puree and topped with select veggies and grated cheese. Roll up these pizzas and then cut it in circulars and relish as snack or mini meal.

Ingredients


Pizza Dough:
2 cups plain flour (maida)
1 tsp yeast
3 tsp olive oil and 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
3 cups warm water
salt to taste

Pizza Sauce:
2 to 3 ripe tomatoes
1 onion
1 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1 green chilli
chilli powder to taste
salt
cumin seeds (jeera)
basil leaves

Toppings(Chopped very finely..you can select any of the follwing:)
capsicum
banana peppers
red capsicum
onions
jalapeno pepper
pineapple
mushrooms (khumbh)
black olives
Method


Dough:

    Dough:
  1. Seive the flour in a deep dish.
  2. Mix yeast in 1 cup warm water and add some sugar in it.
  3. Keep aside till frothy.
  4. Mix flour, salt and other ingredients with the yeast mixture and roll the flour with warm water.
  5. Add flour if dough is sticky.
  6. Blend for 10 min till smooth and elastic.
  7. Cover and keep aside for 30 min.

Sauce:

    Sauce:
  1. Heat olive oil, add basil leaves, cumin seeds and fry the ginger garlic paste.
  2. Fry onions till brownish in color.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and other spices.
  4. Fry till oil sepeartes.
  5. No water is required.

To prepare rolls:

    To prepare rolls:
  1. Roll the dough to a thin round shape (see to it that it does not stick to your coutertop).
  2. Apply olive oil on both sides of the rolled dough.
  3. Apply a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough.
  4. Spread the toppings evenly.
  5. If desired...sprinkle cheese all over.
  6. Make vertical slits over the dough and start folding the rolls starting from the bottom going upwards.
  7. Grease a baking pan...and bake the rolls till brownish and crispy.
  8. If you add cheese...you may have to bake a little longer.
  9. Don''t forget to preheat the oven to 375 deg f.
