Pistachio Crisps recipe - How to make Pistachio Crisps

Ingredients

2 tbsp and 2 teaspoons butter, softened
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp and 1 teaspoon sifted castor sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/3 cup chopped pistachios
1/4 cup sifted plain flour (maida)
Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees f.
  2. Cream together the butter and salt while slowly adding the powdered sugar.
  3. Add the nuts, vanilla and flour and mix until well blended.
  4. On a flat, lightly floured surface, roll out dough in the shape of logs about 1/2 inch in diameter.
  5. Cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces and bake for 15 to 18 minutes.
  6. Roll cookies in powdered sugar when they are still warm.
  7. Let cool on wire racks.
