Penne Pakoda recipe - How to make Penne Pakoda

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

1/2 cup penne pasta , boiled
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tsp crushed garlic (lehsun)
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
a pinch of soda bi-carb
1/2 tsp chaat masala
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
  1. Combine all the other ingredients expect the pasta and oil and add a little water to make a smooth batter.
  2. Add the pasta and keep aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the pastas till they turn crisp and golden brown in colour.
  4. Serve hot with garlic chutney or mayonnaise.
