Peas and Mushroom Stuffed Paneer Sandwich recipe - How to make Peas and Mushroom Stuffed Paneer Sandwich

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

400 gms paneer (cottage cheese)
1 cup boiled and crushed green peas
200 gms chopped mushrooms (khumbh)
1 tbsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1 tsp chopped green chillies
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
1 tbsp butter

For The Coating
2 tbsp cornflour
1/2 cup water
5 bread slices
oil for cooking
  1. Heat the butter in a pan, add the ginger and green chillies nad saute for a minute.
  2. Add the mushrooms and salt and cook till the mixture becomes dry.
  3. Add the green peas paste and pepper, mix well and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Keep aside.
  5. Toast the bread slices on a tava till crisp and blend in mixer into fine crumbs. Keep aside.
  6. cut the paneer into thin slices and sprinkle salt on each slice.
  7. Take one paneer slice, spread a spoonful of prepared mixture and cover with another paneer slice so as to form a sandwich.
  8. Prepare more sandwiches in same manner.
  9. Dissolve the cornflour in water and mix well to prepare thick paste.
  10. Roll the sandwiches in batter and cover them with bread crumbs evenly.
  11. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep rfy the sandwiches till they turn crisp and golden brown.
  12. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
  13. Serve hot.
