Patoli recipe - How to make Patoli

chana dal 2 cups
garlic 8-9 flakes
oil 1/4 cup
salt to taste
red chillies 5-6
urad dal
mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
cumin seeds (jeera)
curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt to taste
onion pieces 1/2 cup

  1. Soak chana dal for about half an hour.
  2. Grind in finely with red chilly,salt.
  3. Cook the mixture in idly tray in pressure cooker for about 7-8 min.
  4. Cool it.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add urad dal, garlic, mustard ,jeera,curry leaves.
  6. Add onion and fry till golden brown.
  7. Add chana mixture and fry till become dry.
  8. Serve with hot rice and curd raita.
