For The Chilas
1 1/2 cups moong dal (split green gram) , washed and soaked for 30 minutes
2 green chillies
1 tbsp chopped ginger (adrak)
salt to taste

To Be Mixed Together For The Stuffing
1/4 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup chopped onions
3/4 cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp chaat masala

Other Ingredients
4 tbsp butter for cooking
green chutney for serving
For the chilas

    For the chilas
  1. Drain the dal, add the chillies , ginger and salt and blend in a mixer using little water to make a smooth paste.
  2. Transfer the batter in a bowl and divide the batter into 4 equal portions.
  3. Pour a portion of the batter on a hot tawa and form a circle using a rounded spoon.
  4. Cook on both sides using one tbsp butter till it turns golden brown in colour.
  5. Place one portion of the stuffing in a corner and fold as in a roll.
  6. Remove from the tawa, cut into two pieces and serve hot with garlic chutney and khajur imli chutney.
