  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan and add the mustard seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and crushed ginger and garlic and saute for few seconds.
  3. Add the paneer and toss well.
  4. Add 4 cups of water, pepper and salt, mix well and add the cabbage so as to cover the soup.
  5. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5- 8 minutes or till the cabbage gets cooked.
  6. Serve hot.
