Pan Leaf Bhajiyas recipe - How to make Pan Leaf Bhajiyas

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 6 to 8 servings

1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp crushed cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder
1/2 tsp crushed fennel seeds (saunf)
1/4 cup finely chopped beteel leaf
water to make the batter
a pinch baking soda
2 tsp hot oil
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and make smooth semi thick batter using water. Add soda and mix well.
  2. Heat oil for deep frying and drop small round bhajiyas in it. Deep fry untill crisp and brown.
  3. Drain and serve hot.
