4 bowls of washed spinach (palak)
2 chopped onions
4 cups water
2 tsp cornflour , dissolved in a little cold water
2 tbsp grated processed cheese
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
salt to taste

  1. Heat the butter in a pan.
  2. \add the chopped onion(s) and saute on low heat for 8 minutes or till they are well browned.
  3. Add the palak, water, grated cheese and salt. bring to boil on medium heat. dd the cornflour and simmer on low heat for 4 minutes.
  4. Top with crackled(1 tsp) cumin seeds in 1 tsp of heated butter and a dash of grated cheese just before serving.
