A mouth-watering soup that combines two different food groups – dals and leafy vegetables, this makes a really fulfilling meal for you and your child.
While your child is sure to be happy with the texture and taste of this Palak Moong Dal Soup, you will be happy about its nutrient profile, which combines iron, vitamin A and folic acid from spinach and calcium, protein and iron from moong dal.
- Combine the spinach, green moong dal and ¾ cup of water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Cool slightly and blend in a mixer till smooth.
- Transfer the mixture into a deep non-stick pan and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Serve lukewarm.
