Oats and Carrot Appe Chaat recipe - How to make Oats and Carrot Appe Chaat

Ingredients
1 cup grated carrot
1/2 cup semolina (rava)
1/2 cup quick cooking rolled oats
4 tbsp curds (dahi)
2 tsp chopped green chillies
1 tsp chopped ginger (adrak)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
salt to taste
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup water
oil or butter as required

For Serving
1 cup thick curds (dahi)
tamarind (imli) ki chutney to taste
mint chutney to taste
chilli powder to taste
chaat masala to taste
sev to sprinkle
Method
    Method
  1. Combine the semolina and oats in a bowl.
  2. Add curd and water, mix well till smooth.
  3. Keep this mixture for minimum 20 minutes for soaking.
  4. Combine the green chillies, ginger and cumin seeds and blend into a coarse paste.
  5. Add the carrots, prepared paste, asafeotida, coriander, salt, soda and mix well.
  6. Heat the non-stick 'Appe' pan.
  7. Pour or spray little oil in the rounds.
  8. Pour the above mixture in the pan. Cover and cook for few minutes.
  9. Fry both sides until it will be cooked and became golden brown.
  10. To serve, add little sugar and salt in curd and beat well.
  11. Arrange appe in the serving dish.
  12. Pour curd over as required.
  13. Sprinkle both chutneys, chilli powder, chaat masala and sev.
  14. Serve immediately.
