Mustard rice is quite a different rice recipe with coconut and mustard paste added to the boiled rice. Traditionally a part of south indian cuisine, the mustard rice is flavourful and typically enjoyed with garlic podi or rasam.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, urad dal, red chillies.
- When the seeds crackle, add the curry leaves and saute for 20 seconds.
- Add the ground paste and saute for few seconds.
- Add the cooked rice and saute for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
