Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 10 samosas

10 samosa pattis
2 tbsp oil
1 onion , chopped
300 gms diced mushrooms (khumbh)
1 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
3 tbsp chopped green chillies
2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tbsp lemon juice
oil for frying
salt to taste
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions and saute till they turn golden brown.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and cook till the mushrooms are soft.
  3. Moisten the edges and shape each samosa patti into a cone.
  4. Cool and place a portion of the filling in the center and seal the edges like a samosa.
  5. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the samosas till they turn golden brown and crisp.
  6. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot.
