Mushroom capsicum chaska is a delicious sabzi preparation. You can enjoy it for lunch or an early dinner. Mushroom can be substituted with paneer as well.

20 mushrooms (khumbh) , sliced
1/2 capsicum , chopped
1/2 red capsicum , chopped
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 onion , finely chopped
2 to 3 garlic (lehsun) cloves , finely chopped
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper powder
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
oil for cooking
  1. Heat the oil in a non stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and saute till they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the garlic, mushrooms and bell peppers, mix well and cover and cook for 6 minutes or till the capsicum a soft.
  4. Add the salt, pepper, red chilli powder and cumin-coriander seeds powder, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
