Multigrain Tili Malpua recipe - How to make Multigrain Tili Malpua

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

1 cup multi grain flour
1/2 cup roasted sesame seeds (til)
3/4 cup jaggery (gur)
water as required
ghee for shallow frying
5 tsp chopped mixed nuts
2 tsp roasted sesame seeds (til)
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder for garnishing
  1. Take jaggery in a cup and add enough water to it so that jaggery is submerged in water .
  2. Take a pan and heat this mixture till it comes to boil.
  3. Cool it in a plate .
  4. When completely cooled, add the flour and sesame seeds and mix well so that no lump remains in the batter.
  5. If you feel the batter is very thin you can add more atta 1 tsp at a time .
  6. The batter should be of dosa consistency .
  7. Let it rest for 1/2 hr .
  8. Take a non stick pan for shallow frying.
  9. Heat around 3 tsp of ghee and pour ladle full of batter to form mini utappam /thick dosa type .
  10. Fry it on both the sides on medium flame till golden brown in color.
  11. Repeat the same procedure with rest of the batter .
  12. Garnish with mixed nuts ,sesame seeds and cardamom powder .
