Here is yet another type of paratha which is made from chiklewali moong dal and the dough of the same is cooked like khichu and then the parathas are made from the same dough

Moong Dal ni Mungdi recipe - How to make Moong Dal ni Mungdi

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

1/2 cup of crushed chilkewali moong dal (split green gram)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp chili powder
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
2 tsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
5-6 crushed green chili
2 tbsp oil
1 1/2 cups wheat (gehun) flour
1 1/2 to 2 cups of water

For Rolling
rice (chawal) flour

Other Ingredients
oil for cooking

For Serving
masala curd
  1. Heat water in non stick pan, when boiled, add moong dal, salt,turmeric powder,chili powder,asafoetida, green chili,mix well.
  2. Add oil,stir and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add wheat flour and stir with the help of rolling pin,cook for 2-3 minutes stiring continuously.
  4. Transfer to bowl, cool.Apply little oil on palms and knead well.
  5. Roll out parathas using rice flour.
  6. Heat non stick tava,grease with little oil
  7. Put paratha, pour little oil on it, cook from both the sides till brown spot appears.
  8. Similarly prepare other parathas.
  9. Serve hot with masala curd.
