The classic comfort food. Made by adding rice and moong dal together along with different spices. It is best enjoyed hot with kadhi or fresh curds.
- Wash the rice. Drain.
- Wash the moong sprouts. Drain.
- Put the ghee in a glass bowl and microwave on high for about 30 seconds.
- Add the rice, moong sprouts, asafoetida, turmeric powder, masala mixture and 1¼ cups of water.
- Cover and microwave on high for 13 minutes, stirring twice in between.
- Serve hot.
