Micro Dhokla recipe - How to make Micro Dhokla

2 cups water
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp citric acid
1 3/4 cups besan (Bengal gram flour)
a pinch of baking soda
1 packet of fruit salt

a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp oil
4 to 5 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
8 to 10 green chillies , slited from between
2 to 3 cups water
few curry leaves (kadi patta)
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp lemon juice

fresh coriander (dhania)

  1. In a bowl mix water,sugar,salt n citric acid.
  2. Now add gram flour and soda bi carb. mix well till no lumps.
  3. Finally add eno n mix well.
  4. Take a micro proof greased dish of 6" diameter,pour the mix n bake for 8 min. let it cool for 2 min more.
  5. Take out n refrigerate for 5 min.

For tadka water

    For tadka water
  1. Heat oil in a pan n add asafoetida,mustar seeds n curry leaves.
  2. Now add green chillies and sugar n salt n water and let it boil for 2-3 mins.
  3. Now off the flame add lemon juice n take out the dhokla from the refrigerator n cut into pieces of desired sizes.
  4. Put these pieces one by one into tadka water n place it into serving dish n garnish with fresh corriander.
  5. Serve once cooled.
