An appealing and irrestible rice preparation with chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves , potatoes and whole indian spices, methi bhaath or methi rice is simply amazing. The green colored rice recipe, methi rice is best served with raita and pickle.

  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal.
  2. When the seeds crackle, add the turmeric powder, green chillies and methi leaves, mix well and cook for 5-8 minutes.
  3. Spread the cooked rice in a flat deep bowl and spread the methi mixture, add the salt and lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Serve hot.
