An appealing and irrestible rice preparation with chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves , potatoes and whole indian spices, methi bhaath or methi rice is simply amazing. The green colored rice recipe, methi rice is best served with raita and pickle.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal.
- When the seeds crackle, add the turmeric powder, green chillies and methi leaves, mix well and cook for 5-8 minutes.
- Spread the cooked rice in a flat deep bowl and spread the methi mixture, add the salt and lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve hot.
