This snazzy orange coloured-carbohydrate rich Melon and Papaya Juice is a fulfilling breakfast idea. Lemon juice makes it more interesting by imparting a tangy flavour.


Papaya has a laxative effect thus helping to relieve constipation. As a an added benefit, melons contain a substance "adenosine" that makes blood less sticky, thus reducing the risk of blood clots and heart attack. Because of its high vitamin A content this tango is a boost to the immune system as well.


Make a quick breakfast sandwich like Herb Cheese and Roasted Capsicum Sandwich or Vegetable Grilled Sandwich and have it with a glass of Melon and Papaya Tango to keep you satiated till lunch time.

Ingredients

Hopper Method
1 1/2 cups muskmelon (kharbooja) cubes (deseeded)
2 cups papaya cubes (deseeded)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
crushed ice for serving

Juicer Method
3/4 cup muskmelon (kharbooja) cubes (deseeded)
1 1/4 cups papaya cubes (deseeded)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
crushed ice for serving
Method
Hopper method

  1. Combine the papaya, muskmelon, lemon juice, crushed ice and 1/4 cup of water in a mixer and blend till the juice is smooth.
  2. Pour equal quantities of the juice into 2 individual glasses and serve chilled.

Juicer method

  1. Combine the muskmelon and papaya cubes and blend in a juicer till smooth.
  2. Strain the juice using a strainer.
  3. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Add some crushed ice in 2 individual glasses and pour equal quantities of the juice over it.
  5. Serve immediately.

Melon and papaya tango.. a great drink.. these fruits are available in most of the season.. and its so quick to make.. just blend it.. and serve.. any guest drops in this is the drink i make.. in no time.. thank you for this quick recipe..

A sweet drink without any addition of sugar...best had for breakfast...worth a try

Zero sugar added to the melon and papaya tango. The juice is sweetish with a thick and free flowing consistency. I feel a surge of energy and its from natural ingredients.
